newconsolidation NVOCC service for export called LCL MED (www.lclmed.net) and the new shuttleservice from Port of
Bari and interporto BARIEASYPORT (www.barieasyport.net), in association withIstop Spamat, a company specialized in customs
and port operations, andrealized both with the financial support of the Chamber of Commerce of
Barias partner of the GIFT 2.0 project of the cross-border cooperationprogramme
Italy-Greece 2007-2013 cofunded by the European Union.
The LCL MED service
, involving the use of a InterportoRegionale della Puglia warehouse as consolidation platform with
the next shipmentof containers from the port of Bari to the most important redistributiveplatforms
worldwide, allows us to offer the most competitive rates to companiesfrom Puglia and more generally
the whole South Italy, Western Greece and Balkanarea, who currently are obliged, for the shipment of
small quantities of goods,to use consolidation platforms located in Northern Italy with shipment
from theports of Northern Italy or Northern Europe.
To promote export to
the countries of the Islamicreligion more and more interested in the excellence of the italian
products theconsolidation warehouse at Interporto Regionale della Puglia is HALAL certifiedallowing
companies with the same certification for the production process toensure to their customers
compliance with this standard for the whole supplychain.
The BARIEASYPORT
service involves the set-up of a customstemporary storage area within the interporto equipped for
the depot of any kindof containers, dangerous goods (IMO/ADR) included, connected with the Port of
Bariby a dedicated and customs regulated road shuttle service.
The presence at
interporto of a customs agencyoffice will allow the
clearance ofgoods before the transfer to its final destination.
Through the project
GIFT 2.0, which sees as Lead Partnerthe Department for Transport and Mobility of the Apulia Region,
the Chamber ofCommerce of Bari has financed the
start-up of LCL MED
service, ensuring a contribution inthe initial phase in order to compensate the unsaturation of the
containers andthe retrofitting works in the customs temporary area to allow the storage ofthe

The new office of the Customs Agency within Interporto has been opened last March 21th due to a specific agreement signed at the headquarters of the regional transport department by the Director of the Customs Agency Lorenzo Clemente and the Interporto's CEO Enzo Vailati.'' for Guglielmo Minervini, head of the regional transport department, this agreement it's a good result that accomplishes two goals. The first is the elevation of the level of competitiveness of this important infrastructure of the regional system, which can then offer a new service to transport and logistics operators.The second one concerns the positive impact that this action will have on the city of Bari. Indeed part of the heavy traffic that now clogs the access roads the city for the customs controls at the port, may be diverted to interporto, avoiding the transit of trucks with clear benefits on the quality of mobility and environmental protection.

During the fair with the organizational support of INVITALIA, the Government Agency for the attraction of foreign investments in Italy, several meetings were held with the Port of Shenzhen, with which the Port Authority has signed Taranto a memorandum of understanding, and its terminal operators and the port of Guangzhou (Canton). The Apiulia Region, with its system of ports and logistics platforms, it’s candidate to become the privileged interlocutor for the logistics industry of the Far East as an alternative to established logistics systems in Northern Europe.
